I'm New Here

At The Crossroads @ Lake Stevens, we know visiting a new church for the first time can be intimidating. We want to make sure you feel welcome, comfortable, and loved when you come visit us. Here’s a few commonly-asked questions.

1. Who are we?
We are a church that loves Jesus, loves people, and loves our community. We are passionate about helping people become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, living in community with others on that journey.
2. When and where?
We are located on the corner of 20th St. SE and South Lake Stevens Road (across from Tom Thumb) in Lake Stevens.  See the Home page for a map.

3. Is there a dress code?
There is no dress code.  Most people dress fairly casual, though some feel more comfortable dressed up and that is welcomed as well. Come as you are!

4. What should I expect on my first visit?
From the moment you first arrive, it’s our goal to make you feel at home. Someone from our hospitality team will meet you at the door with a smile, ready to answer any questions you might have. From there, stop by our Guest Welcome Center, check your nursery age (0-3) kids in, or head right into the worship service. Our services start right on time, so come early to get a great seat!

5. Speaking of kids, what is available for my kids?
We were hoping you would ask! We have a safe and fun nursery for kids ages 0-3. For kids older than that, we have a family inclusive worship service, and invite them to join in.  There are worship resources available to help kids engage in the worship service located in the foyer at the Guest Welcome Center directly when you walk in.  During Sunday school there are groups available for children of all ages, as well as adults.
6. What is the worship experience like?
Our worship experience is intended to engage the whole person (Head, Heart and Hands).  It will engage your head in thought provoking ways as we consider who God is and his work in the world. It will engage your heart in deep and meaningful response to God and what he has done on our behalf. Finally, it will engage your body as you participate in the service as we respond to God in song, prayer, the taking of the Lord's Supper, and going forth into our week to serve him.

Our worship service is a dialogue between God and his people. The service includes music, prayers, readings from Scripture, a sermon, an offering, the Lord's Supper, and corporate prayer. Services last approximately 90 minutes.
7. Am I required to do anything?
No.  You can participate at your own comfort level.  An invitation to join in the Lord's Supper is given to all who profess to believe the Christian faith. If you don't believe or are not sure, we ask you not to participate in this part of the service.  We would not ask you to do anything that would compromise your conscience or authenticity.
